Tess moved to Chicago from Baton Rouge as a visual artist and designer, but quickly turned to the music scene after gaining an interest in collecting records in 2009. In 2011, she co-founded award-winning dance party, Slo ‘Mo, and currently holds multiple DJ residencies in Chicago including at the Freehand hotel, DISCO and Soho House.
Still an avid collector, with records ranging from older deep cuts and classics to new electronic and modern finds, she prides herself in her select all vinyl sets around the city. Whether vinyl or digital, her compelling soundscapes range from nostalgic hip hop / R&B, disco, soul, funk, house and current day hits. Tess is known for her vibrant energy on stage, mixing old school into contemporary music and all-around dance party magic.
